Premier League club Watford are set to bid £10 million for Nottingham Forest striker.

It is no surprise or secret, that interest in the 24-year-old is rife this summer, as he has proven during his time at Forest what an exceptional talent he is, scoring 30 goals in 65 appearances, with many of his appearances coming after recovering from injury hit seasons.

The Congolese man started his career at Watford, but after making the step up from the youth team to the senior team, however, he struggled to make little, or any impact at Vicarage Road, and only tallied up 4 appearances for ‘The Hornets’.

He was subsequently loaned out to Wealdstone, Braintree, and Southend United, where he made a combined total of 59 appearances and scoring a combined total of 26 goals, before being bought by Peterborough United, where he burst onto the Football League scene, scoring 23 goals in 43 appearances, which earned him a switch to the City Ground.
since he arrived in Nottingham, and undoubtedly has the talent and ability to play in the top-tier of English Football, and according to the Nottingham Post there are numerous Premier League clubs showing interest, with Burnley apparently having a bid of around £8 million rejected by the Sky Bet Championship club.

However it is Watford who lead the race according to the Nottingham Post, as Marco Silva tries to persuade Assombolonga to return to the London club, with the future of Watford striker Troy Deeney growing more uncertain by the day.
