Peterborough's Marcus Maddison scores their first goal

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony admits that Marcus Maddison is likely to leave this summer.

Although MacAnthony would not confirm Maddison’s impending depature, he did suggest it was doubtful that the talented attacker would remain at Peterborough for the season ahead.

Maddison has just a year left on his contract at Posh, and is already attracting the attention of a range of clubs.
Birmingham believe that Maddison will improve the quality of their attack, and Villa have also been scouting the skilful winger for some time.

And MacAntony admits that keeping his prized attacker out of the clutches of the group of Championship clubs will be difficult.
Maddison was one of the most productive attackers in League One last term, with both his goals and assists tallies impressive.

Maddison has played for Posh over pre-season so far, but it seems that Grant McCann's side could be set to lose their main creative influence in the near future.
