Everton goalkeeper is set to make his international debut for England On Friday.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is  set to make his international debut for England on Friday during a friendly international against Germany.

Stoke City keeper Jack Butland was expected to start for the Three Lions against the 2014 World Cup Champions, however he suffered a finger injury which has ruled him out and required him to return to his club to undergo treatment.Considering that Butland is one of the key players for the Stoke City team, this will be a huge blow to their manager Mark Hughes who will hope that the injury is not long-term.

The veteran keeper Joe Hart is in the squad as well, however manager Gareth Southgate is expected to use the game to test out fringe players which means that Pickford is the man that is likely to start in goal.Hart has come under criticism during recent times and this opportunity could present Pickford with an opportunity to stake a claim to be first choice shot-stopper for the Three Lions at the World Cup next summer.
