Tottenham star asks club to trepple his wages to stay
Dele Alli is holding out for a deal that would see him earn over three times his current wages to become Tottenham’s highest paid player, according to The Sun.
The England international is reportedly demanding that Spurs owner Daniel Levy puts an end to the wage cap at the club in the knowledge that he could be making far more money elsewhere.
As things stand Alli earns £50,000 per week following a contract extension last year. It means that he still has four years remaining on his current deal but the midfielder is seemingly angling for another pay rise.
Tottenham’s highest earners are thought to be Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, who each pocket twice what the 21-year-old earns, but Alli is hoping to secure a deal worth up to £160,000-a-week to leapfrog the pair as the club’s highest earner.
