Shakers Seal Deal Up With Orion!

Starting from Tuesday 17th October, when we make the trip to the coast to play Blackpool, the First Team and supporters will be transported in style, as Supporter Services Manager Ben Miles explains: ‘Everyone at the Club is fully aware of our fantastic away following, wherever we play.  It’s therefore important to us that they have the best available, in terms of comfort and facilities.  The new coaches are loaded with the latest technology – including Wi-Fi and USB charging ports – and leather seats for the utmost comfort.  We have also ensured they are wheelchair accessible so we can cater for all supporters’.

Leigh Mitchell, Operations Manager for Orion Travel told us ‘Orion Travel Coaches are pleased to announce their forthcoming collaboration with Bury FC to provide both team and fan transport to away games.  With over 30 years’ experience in the travel business, providing short to long-distance travel solutions, and conveying passengers on excursions and intercity bus services, you can rest assured you’re in safe hands.  We look forward to providing a first-class service and support to all at Bury FC and wish them all well over this next season’.

In order to give supporters the chance to experience the new coach first-hand, there is a special offer available for the trip to Blackpool, as Ben explains ‘I am delighted to offer supporters the opportunity to travel to the Blackpool game completely free of charge.  It’s a great opportunity for fans to see the coach for themselves and take away the hassle of the journey.  We welcome all feedback following the journey so please do get in touch with me if you would like to pass on your thoughts’.

The new supporters coach has 59 seats in total, and has the following facilities on-board:
USB Charging Ports for every seat (being installed on Thursday 19th October)
- Wi-Fi
- TV/DVD/Freeview
- Toilet
- Leather Seats
- Wheelchair Accessible
- Fridges
- Hot and cold drink facilities (fans to supply own drinks – hot water available on coach)

Supporters wishing to book themselves onto the coach can do so by visiting the Ticket Office (Window 4) at tomorrow’s game v Bradford, or by calling 0161 764 4881 (opt 1).  You MUST be in receipt of a ticket for the game – supporters who have already purchased a ticket are required to produce it as proof before they can be booked on.
Supporters who have already paid for their coach travel will be contacted and can receive a full refund or carry the payment over to their next journey.
