Former Chelsea midfielder reveals why he had to get out of the club

Antonio Conte

Former Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has explained that he had to get out of the club permanently to avoid being sent on loan again.

The Englishman was decently rated at Stamford Bridge and in football in general but was frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities.

That has become a common thing in the Chelsea squad with players such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek also getting out of Stamford Bridge but only on loan.

Izzy Brown has also left Chelsea on loan but Chalobah has revealed that he couldn’t bare another loan move from the club.

The Englishman has been on loan to six different clubs during his time at Chelsea but now made a permanent move to Londoners Watford.
“Being at Chelsea, I would have signed a new deal and gone out on loan again and got frustrated,” he explained.

“The conversation I had with the manager Antonio Conte was positive but it was a decision I had to make after being on loan six times.”

This time, it comes in the form of Brazilian Kenedy.

After being embroliled in drama during his time on the Asia tour with the club, his short-term future at the club looks in doubt.

Conte has seemingly encouraged the player to leave the club if he wants regular game time and that may be exactly what will happen.

With defensive reinforcements expected during the rest of the window, it is extremely unlikely Kenedy will get many chances next season.
