It's a NO for Aubameyang for Chelsea

This afternoon news broke, as reported by the Evening Standard, that the Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, would be staying in the Bundesliga.

Aubameyang, who scored 31 goals in 32 games in the Bundesliga last season, has seen his future queried at the club.

However, although Chelsea were linked with making a move for the 28-year-old, it appears that may not have been the case.

Indeed, the Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has categorically stated that his club had not received a single offer for the striker, leading us to believe this could have been press speculation without any real foundation.

But the crux of the matter is that it still leaves Chelsea without a recognised world-class centre forward as the season draws nearer.
