Watford could move for Liverpool winger Markovic

Marco Silva, the new Watford manager, is considering a move for Lazar Markovic, the Liverpool winger, who is surplus to requirements at Anfield.

Markovic recaptured a little of the spark that once persuaded Liverpool to lavish £20 million on him while working under Silva at Hull City last season.

Silva has since moved to Vicarage Road following Hull’s relegation from the Premier League and has expressed an interest in Markovic, 23. The winger is also being courted by Zenit Saint Petersburg and clubs in Portugal where he forged his reputation at Benfica before his move to Merseyside in 2014.
