Danny Rose issues apology to Tottenham fans and staff for 'ill-judged' comments

Tottenham are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing ahead of the new season, which starts on Friday evening, and Rose went on to question Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy’s motivations in the transfer market.

A statement from Rose's agency, Base, read: "Having had time to consider my actions, I acknowledge now that the timing and manner of what I said was ill-judged.
"My words were not meant to offend and for that I would like to apologise to the chairman, manager and my team-mates and the fans.
