Liverpool - Mohamed Salah set for flight to UK for medical?
Mohamed Salah is waiting to be given the green light to fly to Merseyside as he looks to complete his protracted move from Roma to Liverpool.
However, negotiations led by Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards have progressed and the Egypt international is expected to become the Reds’ second signing of the summer following the acquisition of Dominic Solanke.
Liverpool’s initial bid was for £28million with the Serie A outfit demanding close to £40million. The compromise is likely to be around the £35million mark.
Salah, who is currently on holiday in his homeland, could become the Reds’ club record buy - an honour which has been held by Andy Carroll since his £35million switch from Newcastle United in 2011.
