Cristiano Ronaldo has requested extra bodyguards because he fears for the safety of his family in Italy, according to reports. The Portuguese superstar has been swarmed by supporters in Turin since his high profile move to Juventus during the summer.

And Italian publication Corriere di Torino claim that the 33-year-old has asked for three permanent bodyguards as he settles to life in his new country.


Two will look after himself and the family with another continuing to monitor his house in the Gran Madre Park. Attendances for Juventus matches have increased following the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s arrival.
