Mourinho plans to attack Chelsea boss Antonio Conte in their next match
Jose Mourinho is ready and waiting for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to confront him when the two sides meet this season for the second time.
The relationship between the pair was never great especially after Conte celebrated the 4-0 win over United so emphatically, but it has deteriorated further since Conte said Mourinho had ‘senile denture’ and thought the Chelsea boss was calling him a clown – with Mourinho replying he may be may things, but he doesn’t fix matches – something Conte has been accused of in the past.
Now it seems the confrontation could turn physical, and after Mourinho’s attack on Conte, the Blues boss has not fared well in terms of results, and Mourinho reportedly wants this to be the final straw with Conte facing the sack, and certainly not the same manager since Mourinho decided to get in his head.
Mourinho said: “I don’t blame him. The press should apologise to me and him.
“Question completely wrong and because of that, out of control reaction.
“I was speaking about myself. You said Mourinho said you behaved as a clown. I was speaking about myself.
“I don’t need Chelsea manager to say I made mistakes in past and will in future. What I will say is I will never be banned for match fixing.”
Confrontations
Despite Mourinho saying that, the Mirror claim he plans to be a visible fixture before and after the game when the two sides meet later in the season, and with Antonio Conte facing the sack at Chelsea – not to mention being told to end the war of words with the former Chelsea manager by owner Roman Abramovich, it seems Mourinho is trying to push him over the edge.
The United boss will welcome a clash – and after winning the war of words, this one seems far from finished.
