Barcelona's midfielder returns from long-term injury.

Rafinha, brother of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago, came up through the youth ranks at Barca, but has struggled to cement a regular starting spot for himself since breaking into the club’s first-team in 2011.

The twice-capped Brazilian international was heavily linked with a Camp Nou exit over the summer, following the arrival of yet another midfielder, Paulinho, at the club.As well as playing in midfield, Rafinha has filled in at both full-back and as an attacker for Barca, with all of AC Milan, Juventus, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal having seen his versatility as a key reason in making their interest in the services of the 24-year-old known during the summer.

However, in the end, Rafinha stayed put in Catalonia, with a long-term injury suffered by the South American during a clash with Granada back in April a possible reason for the unwillingness of any club to splash out big-money on his signature. He has yet to feature for Barca this season, though, with this meniscus problem having kept him sidelined until now. But, as per a report on the Blaugrana’s official website this evening, Rafinha has been fully cleared to return to action:
