Manchester United Fans Are Furious About Rafa Benitez's Paul Pogba Comments.
When loveable Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez was asked if Manchester United's Paul Pogba had now surpassed Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in ability, the Spaniard gave a defiant yet typically measured response.
"No, they're different," Benitez told reporters."Stevie was a top-class player for so many years. He was very consistent and could make the difference in every game, with or without the ball. He was a top-class player. Pogba is a great player, but he still has to be consistent for years like Stevie was for 10 or 15 years.
"Pogba is not my player, so I don't need to talk too much about him. He's a great player, like the majority of the Manchester United players. But while Rafa Benitez is a most definitely Good Thing that must be protected, Twitter is a Terrible Thing that must be burnt to the ground at earliest convenience.United fans jumped on the Spaniard's comments, taking them as a dig at their new crown prince.
