Aston Villa striker extends contract until 2019
Harry McKirdy, 20, has signed a new two-year deal with Villa.
The striker, who had a loan spell at Stevenage last season, has been in discussions with the club for some time over extending his stay.
McKirdy is yet to make a first-team appearance but he has impressed for the U23s in recent years.
He netted a three-minute hat-trick in the summer to fire Villa into the final of the Hong Kong Sevens after seeing off French giants Olympic Marseille.
And despite slipping to a defeat to Leicester City, the forward still made a big impact in the tournament.
McKirdy was taken on the pre-season tour to Germany and played in the Cup of Traditions success in Duisburg.
He will now be hoping to get a run of games under his belt for the development team and continue to push for first-team involvement.
